4 Stars. The second Devine book was solid. Baldacci I as reliable as any author I read. This one was a little dull, hence the rating. The mystery and characters were well done but I never felt that they really had my full attention, admiration or made me feel like they were truly bad. Anyway, I’ll stick with the series.

Never have I read such a long book with such a small story. The suspense - what little there was - could not compensate for the limited story and lack of character development. Disappointed and surprised. I’ll wait awhile before reading another of his novels.

Baldacci is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to his next offering.
