A great deal of this book deals with physical and sexual abuse of a woman by the person who is supposed to love and protect her. Again I’m very disappointed that Ms Steele doesn’t take into account what some women have endured and given readers a heads up of what is to come. The rest of the book is lovely, it’s a shame that there was so much to read about a controlling abusive partner and no warning to readers.

I’ve always been a fan of Danielle’s books for the last 40 yrs and hated when reviews were negative about her writing being simplistic. However, as much as I loved the idea behind the plot of this book, it was a definite disappointment. Descriptions were so repetitive that it felt like DS either didn’t think her readers could manage to remember details or she needed to make a word quota so descriptions were given over and over again. Gone are the days of Zoya, The Promise, Blue, Messages from Nam and Sisters. Still a beloved author but maybe the best stories have already been told.

Wonderful read as usual with Steele. This was a sweet read that shows us that there is never a “ Too late”.

Horrible writing! Lines were repeated verbatim time after time. Plot line was predictable and sappy. Don’t know who is writing her books, but they aren’t remotely similar to her earlier ones. I had to push myself to finish it because it cost a lot for very few pages. Will not read one of her books again. So sad.
