    The layers of Ilya’s character truly impacted me. Lived experience through a society that will not tolerate the truth of your identity can change a person’s whole life trajectory. Ilya’s character eventually persists to love, despite it all. So many times I cried. Thank you Rachel Reid for this absolute masterpiece.

    I watched the show and HAD to read the books! The show is pretty true to the books. I haven’t gotten to Kip and Hunter’s story, but Ilya and Shane’s story is soooo good so far. Definitely recommend if you like enemies-to-lovers and LGBT books. 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    This book has truly changed my life. I watched the show first in January because everyone was talking about it on tik tok and I had to check it out for myself. I usually don’t watch shows in one sitting but this one I did. I am obsessed. I then read the books and the way it is so good omg I re read this book at least once because of how good it is. I love it. Ilya and Shane have changed my life. I think about them everyday and every night. Thank you Rachel Reid.

    I will preface this by saying I think it’s great it inspired closeted hockey players in the real world. That being said… The writing is horrible. Poorly developed characters. More sex than substance. Pacing is all over the place. Main leads have no tension or chemistry outside of being supposed “rivals.” In conclusion: Great cultural impact ≠ Good writing. The show was still trash despite the minor adjustments, but I digress. Anyways, I’d give this book a zero if I could. Sorry to the loud majority that liked it 🥀
