A second chance romance, Lissa and Trevor have some insecurities to overcome before they can try for a grownup relationship. High school was 10 years ago and a lot has changed in both of their lives. They need to decide if they are willing to fight for what they want- each other. Carly Phillips writes some of the best romances, this novella is no exception. 4.5 Stars This is book 2 in the Serendipity series and it features Trevor and Lisa. They had a thing in high school and broke up. She turned to her very wealthy ex for comfort and as they say, the rest is history. Ten years has passed and he never wanted to know anything about her because she’d hurt him so bad. He should have asked because her life wasn’t AT ALL what he assumed it was! FANTASTIC story line! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The characters were just right, without being over the top. I absolutely love second chance romances! I wish it were a longer book though.

I got a chance to re-read this story and I am so glad that I did. What a wonderful story about a second chance romance. Trevor and Lissa are brought back into each others lives because she is writing a story about him as a life turned around type of thing. They reconnect. My only issue is with this story is I wish it was longer because man this was an excellent story that could have kept going. But it was a great short read for what it was. Another great addition to the series.

This was such a great story and so heartbreaking and yet very heartwarming. Lisa and Trevor had been high school sweethearts but a mistake brought them 10 years of heartbreak . But they finally found their way back to each other.

This was a quick, easy read about two people who have made mistakes when they were young and the assumptions they have about each other as adults. After breaking Lissa’s heart as a teenager, Trevor thought that her life had turned out much differently than it had. Lissa went through many struggles, financially and emotionally, in the years they were apart. Once they got past their hesitation about each other’s motives, they might even find their happily ever after.
